Our last email announced that Eco Villages Australia has purchased a beautiful block just a short walk from the town centre of Maleny. Read about the purchase here. It's clear from your responses that many people are very excited about this new eco village project.
Project update. There are currently no liveable dwellings on site (and no legal opportunities at this stage to have tiny houses). It will take at least 18 months to plan and build stage one of the eco village. This allows time for the community to grow organically over time as outlined in the membership process. Getting involved is the first step.
Big Welcome Day, Saturday 1st June 2019. Save the date to join our historic first 'work party'. Bring musical instruments, creativity, tools, a sense of adventure, ideas, ceremony and celebration. Contact us if you have something to offer as part of the program.
Regular Friday volunteering. Join us from 8.30am-12.30pm each Friday starting on the 10th of May to bring the eco village to life. Contact Claire on 0439 532 299.
If you are interested in founding another eco village project in your area or if you have land you would like to gift, sell or bequeath, email us to start the conversation.
